604633 2007-10-23 22:06:00 The dog has eaten the tv remote. Its a sony and I can't seem to source one anywhere ? Any ideas ? I understand those multi remotes require programming from the original which i cant do.

Cheers

604634 2007-10-23 22:12:00 Sony DVD Player remotes work with Sony TVs, and give you all the basic functions, if you happen to have a Sony DVD player.

I believe these (www.trademe.co.nz) are quite good. Never tried, though.

Good luck!

604635 2007-10-23 22:20:00 Try to stay with the Sony brand..they seem to have some things that are not available on a generic unit...trust me..been there..still am really.....

I have almost all Sony everything and it's amazing that they can pretty much all talk to the various units.

604636 2007-10-23 22:26:00 Well I wouldnt say SONY are the BEST.

My old sony screwed up after 6 yrs, (was around 4g when I brought it), got fixed but its worse than before it got fixed.

Only good thing about it, is its Bass/Nicam and PIP.

Altho, last yr I got a Wega WS. At the mo, its working. And its good for the WS DVD's.

Whats the model of the TV?

www.dse.co.nz

If it does not work, take it back on the DSE refund/exchange policy.

It's great and easy to set up. All my remotes have been thrown in the cupboard and replaced by the one remote now.
