| 773614 | 2009-05-13 22:45:00 | Hi Guys I have been using Auslogics Free disk defragger and have found it works well. I have a couple of large Hard drives with lots of data. It takes ages to defrag these. Does anyone know what happens if you say defrag half of the drive, press stop and exit the program then restart later. Does it have to defrag the whole drive again or will this proceedure save any time or do I have to bite the bullet and let it defrag the whole drive in one session ? |

Hello, yes you can stop and start. Defraging is file based, not disk based. The defragger will resolve individual files and the need time the program starts, the fixed file will not require defragmentation. I use Smart defrag and get it to schedule nightly or weekly defrag's.... |

| 773620 | 2009-05-14 22:18:00 | Use Defraggler! http://www.defraggler.com (Download = Only 800KB!) It'll quite happily run on drives that you're working with :) Cant recommend it enough .. even gives you the opportunity to defragment individually fragmented files. |
