773379 2009-05-12 22:05:00 I've just installed Windows Server 2008. I installed the latest stable uTorrent.
When I went to download a torrent I get this message

Attached file: Untitled1242162087.jpg (www.imagef1.net.nz) (14 KB)

I have tried googling a solution but no one offers a solution I can understand.
Under preferences in uTorrent Windows intergartion is blanked-out.
However I have come across anything that says it utorrent can't be used on Server 2008.

773380 2009-05-12 22:09:00 Server 2008 is a big kettle of fish - meaning there may be permissions you need to change.

Have you tried saving the download to a different OS /PC, Eg: XP, Vista or W7 ?

773381 2009-05-12 22:31:00 If you open uTorrent then manually open the .torrent file does it work? inphinity (7274)
773382 2009-05-12 22:54:00 You may need to change the windows perferences, just set .torrent to open with µTorrent Rob99 (151)
773383 2009-05-12 23:12:00 Have you tried the portable standalone edition?

You may also need to associate .torrent files with uttorrent

773384 2009-05-13 00:24:00 I'd hazard a guess whatever you're getting from ISOHunt isnt legit either .. generally speaking more than 9/10x they're not ;) Chilling_Silence (9)
773385 2009-05-13 03:54:00 It is just like vista. Right click on the torrent and then go open with and select choose default program, then click browse and then navigate to where you installed utorrent and then select the exe and then click ok and make sure that you have the option "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file". You should then see the torrent icon change to the one for uTorrent. nedkelly (9059)
773386 2009-05-13 06:59:00 I get this when I right click on the torrent file. Attached file: Untitled1242194341.jpg (www.imagef1.net.nz) (9 KB) supersi (8401)
773387 2009-05-13 10:29:00 You have to right click the torrent once youve downloaded it, not within your browser hueybot3000 (3646)
773388 2009-05-14 02:48:00 oops my bad maybe should have said that. Yeah hueybot3000 is right so choose save link as in that image and then save it on to the desktop then follow my instructions. Post back if you need any more help and will send you screen shots of the steps. nedkelly (9059)
