2009-05-12 07:38:00 | A strange one - I use a combination of Mailwasher and Outlook 2007 for my email . I recently (on Sunday) reinstalled my Acronis image for C Drive . All is well (well sort of) . When mail arrives in Mailwasher, I sort and then open Outlook 2007 . Previously mail would only arrive in Outlook when I asked for it (pressed 'Send/Reveive') and the emails would both show up in the list down the left (? name) and also in my list of 'Messages' on the right . I have two problems: 1 . Mail arrives immediately I open Outlook - doesn't wait until I tell it to come (and some things I don't want!) 2 . Mail doesn't show up in the right hand list - not a biggie, but annoying! Only shows on the listing on the left . :help: Any clues as to fix these two problems would be appreciated! TIA . :thanks

2009-05-12 07:50:00 | I assume you are using Mailwasher correctly. You open mailwasher - sort the mail you want to let through, Tick teh Boxes (www.imagef1.net.nz) to delete/bounce etc the ones you dont want. Then Hit PROCESSS MAIL (www.imagef1.net.nz) - the ones you didn't want will be deleted - then your email client ( outlook) will open and only the ones you have told to let through will appear. Lots of people do the following - open mailwasher tick items, open email client and every thing comes through - IF you DONT hit PROCESS MAIL - it wont delete the ones you have told it to.

2009-05-12 08:03:00 | 1st problem - just tried it and it stopped the auto downloading, you have to hit send/Recieve to get the mail even after mailwasher . These Settings (www.imagef1.net.nz) - easier to show than to write ;) | wainuitech (129) | |
2009-05-12 08:10:00 | Yes that helps! I knew I had changed a setting previously, but couldn't remember where it was. I don't find the Help very helpful at times. :( | R.M. (561) | |
2009-05-12 08:33:00 | The help should be called "Confuse the user" Is the Right Pane that normally shows the Mail , not there - empty - not to sure exactly where you are referring to by "Right hand list". BUT to change those settings, click on View - then have a "fiddle" one setting at a time to alter the layouts to your liking.

2009-05-12 08:52:00 | Yes - well it's taken me a while to work out how to do attachments - it's a while since I put one up! If this works you can see what I'm talking about... Didn't work - I'll try again.

2009-05-12 08:56:00 | Hopefully it's there now! Ah there it is. I was used to seeing my messages in the right hand pane (as there arrive in, and are there until I look at them) - now they just don't show there at all, but are there in the left hand pane. I suppose it is really just relearning where to look, but these sorts of problems just aggravate me!

2009-05-12 09:26:00 | Outlook today only shows the number of unread emails, not the total number of emails in that inbox . Send yourself an email to test this . :)

Read mails are Normal font, unread are in bold - reminds me, must delete a few its getting crowded.( again) |
