| 773148 | 2009-05-11 11:21:00 | Hey there! Hope I'm posting this in the right section... :o Anyway I'm going to be moving from South Africa to Auckland in a few weeks. Once I'm there I'll be needing an internet connection. I'm not sure where to start or what to look for in terms of choosing an ISP. I'll be using the internet mostly for gaming, the occassional email & general browsing. Back home (in South Africa) we had 4MB lines with a bandwidth limit per month of 3GB's (Yes its horrible)... On average via SpeedTest I get www.speedtest.net (http://www.speedtest.net) & thats on a "good" day. :( I'm realling hoping to improve on that whilst in Auckland with the advice of you guys... So could you guys & gals please recommend a few ISP's? |

Have a look here: www.nzconnection.net and_plans Good luck! |

| 773151 | 2009-05-11 11:58:00 | Here's a few. Depends on how much you want to spend. Some / most of the ISP's are pretty slack in speed Telecom (www.telecom.co.nz) Ihug (www.vodafone.co.nz) Xnet (http://www.xnet.co.nz/) arent too bad, at least you can cap yourself (with Xnet). But speeds can be slow (or should I say), can be really slow. Only thing with most of the ISP's are they have conditions. So, I would read them, before you join them |
