773045 2009-05-11 06:39:00 i have always upgraded my sound cards in all computers i've had..and like most of the people i know, Sound blasters were always available and pushed in the market moreso than other brands. From what i've been reading about the Sondigo, its the next level of performance and thats what I'm looking for. The only thing i havent actually seen in print about the Sondigo is whether or not it has a good Media Player like the Creative Labs guys include on their software disc...I have an X-fi extreme pci express and i like the bells and whistles of the media player and other ease of use features for ripping burning and organizing music and movie files......any info on the Sondigo media player if it has one at all would be greatly appreciated.

773046 2009-05-11 11:51:00 It doesn't appear to be available in New Zealand. feersumendjinn (64)

I would ask just what you hope to gain, the X-Fi is is a good card, with better sound quality than almost any PC speaker system or MP3 file.
Sounds like you want software 'bells & whistles' rather than TRUE high quality sound (???)

773051 2009-05-13 13:07:00 Who cares what software it comes with?

Like Sroby says - do you want a good card or are you just paying for it so you can get the software?

That doesn't make sense....

Or you can find a good program to use (Like Winamp etc) or any of the other millions of media players and use it on ANY soundcard!
