| 606150 | 2007-10-29 06:38:00 | I gather there is a certain amount of scratch resistance in the iPod touch, although I would doubt it would hold up to the "sand paper" test. No I don't own one, I am perfectly happy with my current iPod although I do like the GUI on the iPod Touch. Never mind hyping the iPod Touch, wait till the iPhone v2 comes out early next year with the SDK for the iPhone for 1 Million+ iPhones (including the 250,000+ hacked ones) |

This is the test for the iphone, but the touch is very similar arstechnica.com |

The 2nd generation zunes haven't yet been released, but I don't think you can buy them in NZ. They do have inbuilt wifi like the itouch . I however don't think their screens are as good, and they appear to have a big black border around the LCD, and the screen itself is quite tiny. |

You can buy them online from Amazon.com but they are not for sale in stores outside of the US. Not enough people actually want them so the Zune "join the social concept" is a bit of a fizzer. |

| 606155 | 2007-10-29 08:00:00 | Another problem with it, is that you can't edit calendar entries, like you can on the iphone, which means they have crippled it so people go for the iphone instead. Hence why I asked the tc if he hacked it. You can put everything on the iPhone (except camera and phone features) onto the Touch. So why buy an iPhone (unless you wants calls etc) As for scratch resistance - the back scratches easily, but the screen is good. Someone took a blade to it on YouTube. |

Is it designed to have the battery replaced by the user? it has taken one small drop, about 8 inches to a table with no problems. the screen is showen to be quite scratch resistant, but at am not pushing my luck :-) battery is not designed to be swaped by a end user but as with other ipods it can be done with a bit of skills. |

No more black border and far bigger screens (as big as the iPods or even bigger) |
