| 605853 | 2007-11-07 23:44:00 | . So, at 800x600, that sounds pretty low. I'm guessing that this is the penalty for the extra eye candy with DirectX 10. Lol actually there is a shiz storm that has brewed as it appears Crytek has deliberately restricted DX9 features to make DX10 look better in the Demo (now where have I seen this before, Halo2PC cough cough). In a nutshell "ini" tweaks turn on and ALL the major DX10 touted effects and run in XP with DX9 (highest detail settings). I dual boot Vista and i can say Crysis looks 99% as good with the DX9 tweak as it does in Vista DX10. Oh yea and FASTER in XP by about 5-10FPS. Some say Vista textures are a "bit" sharper, but I honestly don't see it. I will be playing in XP not Vista with the full version, as the frame rate is better due to XP.
