773596 2009-05-13 22:00:00 iv already tried running memtest didnt work jsut turns itself off mazinmat (14718)
773597 2009-05-13 22:23:00 Do you have a live CD or a BART or PE cd? If you don't, download any live cd and boot, to see if to rule out if it is either a hardware or software problem.

I think there may be a memory problem here, whic is cauing the laptop to shut down

so it just turns the PC off as soon as it boots off the memtest disk?
try it in a known working PC and report back, there might be something wrong with it. as for the BSOD. you may have faulty ram

773600 2009-05-14 20:10:00 na the memtest runs to about 51% and then just turns off will try in this computer now and sorry but what is a bart, pe or live cd and iv tried the system restore in the sfae mode with command prompt but again the laptop just goes straight to the BSOD and reboots mazinmat (14718)
773601 2009-05-14 20:18:00 it might be the ram if memtest crashes. if you can, remove memory module(s) until memtest successfully runs 100% and if you can replace the faulty ram module
im picking it continuously fails at 51%? eg it doesnt vary from that value or anything, even from a cold boot.
