| 773436 | 2009-05-13 10:27:00 | It appears that there was something the newer drivers didn't like - could have been leftovers - even using the driver cleaners a person can never be 100% sure all files, and reg entries are removed. (could be many) By using the older original drivers it appears that what ever was stopping the new ones is/was still there, and by putting back the older one its overwritten the originals. In this game I see those sorts of things happen regularly, sometimes so called "improvements" are more of a pain in the Butt than a help. But if its working now, thats good. |

| 773438 | 2009-05-13 10:54:00 | I just tried to upgrade to those drivers too and got halfway then CPU usage went to 100% and eventually I just closed the setup.exe process in task manager. I suspect this was caused by the buffer-overflow protection in one of the Comodo products I run (I have had 100% cpu usage problems caused by CMF in the past) I rebooted into safe mode and the drivers installed fine. |
