| 606499 | 2007-10-30 08:58:00 | Holy god, you guys should take a look at the influx of second-hand 8800GTS auctions on trademe! And most are asking for the same price of a new 8800GT or even more! Disgusting. LOL, i was hassling a guy yesterday over his 4mth old 320, with AM cooler that he wanted $550 for !! |

The first link looks a little bit suspect as it still lists the number of shaders at 96 and the core clock is lower than the GT. If the new GTS was release with the specs in the first link I doubt it would beat the GT. |

| 606504 | 2007-10-30 18:54:00 | No Pete, if you read properly, you will notice NV said it wouldnt do a launch and partners were not to advertise as 112 SP, the is why the top link stipulates 96+ SP.....SKU0008 has 112 SP, and it wont be slower, it has the faster memory bus and more memory, along with the smaller 65 nm, partners can and will clock faster! | SolMiester (139) | ||

No Sol, if you read the second link properly you'll see the only thing thats changed is the number of sharders, the memory is staying the same at 800mhz  |

| 606506 | 2007-10-30 19:43:00 | No again Pete, read the damn post mate......I said the faster memory bus, + more memory + more stream processors okay?...Jeez. So basically when you said they wouldnt make another GTS faster than the GTX, you were wrong. The new G92 GTS will overtake the GTX leaving the door open for the new model Q1 2008 |

The new G92 GTS will overtake the GTX leaving the door open for the new model Q1 2008 I think your the one who needs to read the dam post Sol! The GTS always had the 320bit and the extra memory, so like i said in my first post which you continue to claim is wrong, the only difference between the old GTS and the new GTS will be the shift to 65nm and the extra shaders. I'm not going to argue about this with you any more, your obviously an idiot its pretty plain to see the changes between the new and old GTS. |

So basically when you said they wouldnt make another GTS faster than the GTX, you were wrong. The new G92 GTS will overtake the GTX leaving the door open for the new model Q1 2008 It appears the refreshed GTS will be a bit faster than the GT. It will probably match the the "current" GTX. It appears likely the 8800GTX will also get a refresh very soon, or replaced by a 9800GTX (name pure speculation). Nvidia have canibalised there own product line with the new GT, and its pricing currently makes little sense across the range. Its clear Nvidia is making moves to correct these issues, so a new or refreshed top end card is extremely likely which will leave a nice gap for the "New" GTS. |
