Never heard of it. sarel Crysis is an upcoming computer game. en.wikipedia.org Personally, while I think Crysis will be a great single player, I'm not convinced it will be a popular multiplayer. It will have solid competition from ET:QW, COD4, ARMA, Frontlines etc etc. |

| 605846 | 2007-11-07 09:49:00 | Well, this sucks ass. I bought myself a new 8800GTS 320MB and overclocked it to 600MHz core and 2000MHz memory (500 & 1600 originally). Didn't help much. I set Crysis on 800x600, everything on low, no AA, nothing, and my FPS hovers around 18-25 during battle scenes, and 30-40 everywhere else. 18-25 is very poor for my taste, playable, but I get irritated after a while. |

For comparison - I've got it running on DirectX 9 at 1280x1024 on E6750 @ 3.2GHz, 2GB dual channel RAM, 8800GTX running at 615 MHz - and I'm only getting around 12300 3DMark06 score and 40 - 45 FPS (less in battle scenes). This is according to FRAPS. So, at 800x600, that sounds pretty low. I'm guessing that this is the penalty for the extra eye candy with DirectX 10. |

| 605849 | 2007-11-07 19:32:00 | You know its the resolution that kills it. I cranked everything up to max but had it on 1024x768 and it was smooth. Didn't bother checking the frame rate but no laggy bits compared with my neighbour who had noticeable jerkiness. Hated the game though. But then, I never liked Far Cry either. Land without a parachute, suit protects me, great. Then some Korean shoots me with a measley bullet and I die??!! Stupid. And the Korean enemy versus me (Die, American Scum), didn't excite me much. |

HEADSHOT!!! :p i installed the Crysis Demo last night and it was brilliant :D - i was just winging it really - playing about with the suits abilities ect, - i had "max strength" enabled at one point and saw a chicken waltzing past me - so i picked it up and i forget what button i pressed but somehow i crushed the chicken with my hands :eek: that was hilarious - a bit later on i saw a truck come speeding towards me so i shot out a tyre and it spun about, clipped a tree and rolled 3 times before hitting and killing me - when everything quietened down all i could hear was "holy crap we killed him! yes we killed the bastard!!" i honestly cant wait for the full game if its anything like the demo :D |
