| 773699 | 2009-05-14 02:55:00 | Hi. I'm new and have read some other threads but still need more help. I'm planning to purchase a lap top for my new business and have a budget of $1800 max to spend. So long it does what I need, the cheaper the better of course! I would need it for presentations, web browsing (do alot of research online), emails, DVD, movies (17" would be good), MYOB, photos and it needs to be relatively fast. Don't want something too clunky or slow since I'd need to do business presentations to clients. My ex-company lap top that I was using was a Toshiba Satellite Pro A120? It was good for most part but sometimes found it was slow. Not sure if it's because of my crappy broadband speed or not though. And because I'm more of a home-based business, it needs to be light too as I will be carrying it everywhere. I read most people recommending the brands Asus or Toshiba. And any suggestions on where to buy would be good too. At any rate, I'd really appreciate the time from anyone kind enough to help me. Thank you! |

Good luck getting all 3 :) Heck good luck getting the last two regardless of price hehe. You'll need to make a compromise on one or the other, or maybe your idea of light is much different than I am imagining. Even most 15.4" laptops will be over 2.5kg, while a 17" is easily 3kg+. How light is light to you? Also bear in mind weight of power adapter etc, as well as how big is too big to be easily transportable for you. |
