| 605438 | 2007-10-25 23:28:00 | Its all relative: The statutory minimum wage for the private sector is WS$1.00 per hour but about 80% of the private sector employers pay a rate higher than this. A sample of average wage rates that may be expected is given below: OCCUPATIONAL AV. HOURLY CATEGORY WAGE RATE __________________________________________________ _______ Administrative & Managerial workers (Lower Management) WS$ 5.04 Technical related workers e.g. fitter/turner WS$ 2.93 Clerical related workers WS$ 2.41 Sales workers WS$ 1.46 Production, labourers & related workers WS$ 1.33 WS $1 = 53c NZ |

| 605439 | 2007-10-25 23:30:00 | I suspect a bottle of Vailima is not actually 1200 sene there either. Is it a coincidence that neither of their providers rhymes with either Vodafone or Telecom? |

| 605441 | 2007-10-26 11:20:00 | Is it a coincidence that neither of their providers rhymes with either Vodafone or Telecom? you do realise what pctek was saying right? that a samoan paying $0.12 per minute on an income of $2 per hour, is like us paying $1.20 per minute (on $20/hr) - so their calls are relatively not that cheap (or did the internet fail to convey your sarcasm?) |
