| 774295 | 2009-05-16 04:24:00 | Having a small problem here, I have a main comp which is running windows 7 rc and a lappy running xp pro with all updates. I was able to see the main comp on the network from my xp lappy and then i had some files i wanted to transfer from the lappy to the main comp. Now i should have just used the lappy and put them up to the main comp but no i had to go and turn file sharing on via the network setup wizard and now i cannot see the main comp, I used to have a list of mapped folders in xp but after running the network setup wizard they have now all gone and all i can see in the network list is my laptop. I am able to ping the main comp so i know its got a connection to their i just don't know what may have changed with the network wizard setup that changed things. Any ideas ??:thanks Edit: Never mind fixed it, Turning the main comp off then off resolved the problems for some reason |
