For those who are unfamiliar with what's going on, last year (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) we had a member-of-the-year nomination and voting where we nominated deserving members of our choice to receive the annual award. The rules and regulations for this year are as below: 1) Each member is allowed to nominate unlimited number of members. Having said so, if you nominate more than 20 members, you must provide reasons for your choice for at least half of your nominee list. For example, if I have nominated 30 members, I must provide reason why I have chosen 15 of those. This rule is in place as I wouldn't want people to chuck in 100 names into their post without giving a thought who have they nominated and why have they nominated these people. 2) You have until December the 9th (Sunday) to post in your nominee list. If you are uncomfortable with posting it online, you may PM me the list. Voting will begin from the 10th and end on the 23rd of December 2007. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can nominate the members based on anything that they have done / contributed on PressF1. It could be that occasionally they pop by PressF1 to help out one of those unsolvable questions (like what Parry has done for those having problem dealing with Excel macros), or the sense of humour of their posts is simply outstanding. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my nominee list: 1) Speedy Gonzales - for obvious reasons 2, 3, 4) Dannz, Bletch, personthingy - contribution to PressF1 services 5) Jen - thanks for volunteering your time to moderate this forum 6, 7) Metla, R2x1 - your sense of humour on this forum is a delight to most of us 8) Billy T - thanks for the weekly Monday humour 9) somebody - thanks for helping me out on travelling in Wellington 10) winmacguy - his remarkable persistence in proving Mac "advice" despite being pushed around by members all the time. 11) mabix - you brought us avatar! I'd also like to give Wainuitech a special mention, it's not often we have new members arrive and start giving so much excellent advice and help at the calibre you have shown :thumbs:. |

Wainuitech and Speedy - Partly for the awesome help, but even more for the amazing patience both of them, especially Wainuitech, show regularly. | 608458 | 2007-11-05 02:11:00 | I think you should base it on input into the Actual PressF1 forum, rather then the chat section, all we do in here is pass time with a bit of bull****. And that right there would slim down your nominees to 5 or 6 that put in the effort and supply quality advice. |
