607516 2007-11-02 00:03:00 Hi Guys

I think we have now reached the time when it is cheaper to buy a new printer than buy a black and colour cartridge for your current printer ! !

My HP 3940 just crapped out so I bought a new HP D2460 which uses the same cartridges.

At $ 78 from Warehouse Stationary that is about the same price as buying a new black and colour cartridge ! Admittedly the cartridges are not full ones only demo ones 3ml versus 5ml.

But hey !

Regards

607517 2007-11-02 00:07:00 At $13,000 per litre for the ink, I suppose they find it easy to throw in a free printer. R2x1 (4628)
607518 2007-11-02 00:16:00 I tend to go for the remanufactured or refills

If you don't like refills etc Are these the type you need (www.consumables.co.nz)

If I buy the 120 print package it works out at 58cents per photo.

I have no need for A4 document printing so this works fine for me.

607521 2007-11-02 01:55:00 I doubt that even the Warehouse Stationery would sell those cartridges for almost $78. I got 20% off mine from there the other day which made them even cheaper than Consumables. FoxyMX (5)

607523 2007-11-02 02:11:00 I found that a new HP Laserjet , was only $10 more expensive than buying a new HP laserjet cartridge for it, and the printer comes with exactly the same cartridge. The good thing is that with laserjets you can get them refilled, unlike hp inkjets that don't seem to like the refilled cartrdiges. robbyp (2751)

Harvey Norman and other places will do 6x4 prints for around 29c per photo.

Genuine ink is just a ripoff scam
