| 606987 | 2007-10-31 17:10:00 | Who is your favourite NZ group or singer or song writer? Just curious as Im pretty bias in my music choice (mainly rock & metal), Im helping a friend with his study at uni about the NZ music industry (or the lack of it). So Im guessing we have a good mix of generations here. Btw mine is Chuganaut or Shihad or Sticky Filth or Tension or 8 Foot Sativa etc |

| 606989 | 2007-10-31 17:44:00 | There were quite a few bands I like that had one song I liked (e.g DD Smash, Ardijah, Shona Laing, Hello Sailor) but the 2 more favourite groups (where I liked more than just one or 2 songs) would be Split Enz, and Supergroove | Myth (110) | ||
| 606990 | 2007-10-31 17:55:00 | the NZ music industry (or the lack of it). I'd say the NZ music industry is alive and well, and has been for quite a while. Can't say I've got a favourite NZ band, but Hello Sailor and Th' Dudes are up there (and more recently started to enjoy Golden Horse). |

Maybe I should of said there are alot of talented bands etc, but the industry is itself is in shocking need of a boot in the backside. The promoters are shocking and our tendency to be a cheap american ripoff (Idol etc) is embarressing. |
