| 607316 | 2007-11-01 20:45:00 | i have just one thing to say - WMG's profile says he is "watching the tech world from Auckland" or something similar i find him to be rather biased every time something bad about XP or Vista or Microsoft in General Happens - hes the first to run in screaming and make a big gloating post about it. whenever Apple Bring out a new "product" or some poll says that mac users are more happy at work or some other dribble - hes the first to run in screaming and make a big gloating post about it. these days i generally ignore his dribble :p EDIT: haha - at least he has an entire thread to himself when he gets back! :p |

If I started thread about a car I liked, would you jump in and tell me why a Ford was better. Would you then continue to justify the awesome betterness of the Ford, no matter how many vaild points anyone else made to indicate it was less-than-better? Once the thread had melted down because of this and a mod had locked it, would you then do the very same thing, again, and again, and again everytime ANY thread that had ANY tangental relevancy to cars came up? It's one thing to believe in a product and be "happy to share" that knowledge, but what WMG does is ram it down your throat whether you want it or not and absolutely refuse to take on board any criticism. That's trolling. In the ape world we beat offenders up with a big stick and hurl poo at them for this kind of thing. |

Everybody knows Fords are crap:D The fact is there are very few people on the forum that know anything about mac's. When WMG makes a valid point, people start spouting off misinformed statements or simply call him a nut bar. And as far as Jen giving him time off, all this is going to do is give him more research time. What the hell, anyone that can put Metla in his place is fine with me, and you know when it happens because he just starts with the abuse:D :2cents: |

And I know, and partly agree, with the point you are making. And whilst I agree he can, and does, go overboard at times, don't forget this is a public forum attracting all types. And different motives. It seems to me, and it's only one person's opinion, that the denigration and ridicule given to him as a fellow poster is often extreme, and is not commensurate with his actions. His approach may be challenging to some, however I've read a lot worse here that seems not only to be acceptable, but encouraged. Did I mention the 1-2-3 for Ford at Bathurst? :D |

I agree that no one on the forum should be routinely subjected to ridicule, and it is sad that some poster-to-poster relationships have fallen to this point . However - any help WMG has given people on PM notwithstanding - what characterises his interactions isn't offensive language or rudeness, but a deliberate pig-headed consisitant pitching of Apple's superiority-over-anyhting-else-on-earth, no matter what the circumstances, which for some, including me, is just as annoying . I rather have Metla give me a two word insulting brush off, than have WMG ignore anything I say and come right back with why Apple is the best best best best . He's like Mr Clippy - and don't tell me that isn't damn annoying . . . . |
