| 774161 | 2009-05-18 07:31:00 | Can I make a suggestion - Do the Following and it should go perfectly. Make sure the drive you want W7 on has no data to keep - Installing W7 will usually Wipe the drive. Edited: Dont try the Upgrade from another OS takes a damn longggggggg time - fresh install is always better. Okay- Here we go: After downloading the ISO Image-- Download and install the ISO recorder I mentioned in Post #3. (you wont see any icons appear any where thats normal) Once installed, Put a BLANK DVD in your drive. Locate the W7 ISO file you downloaded - RIGHT click it - Burn the Image as per Post#3. here is what you will see (www.imagef1.net.nz) ( or similar depending on your OS.) next you will get This window (www.imagef1.net.nz) - Mine has No DVD in the Drive but if it did it would show - then under the "recording Speed" select the slowest it will go - hit Next -- Walk away and make a cuppa - it will burn the Image and spit it out when finished. Then as sweep mentioned make sure the PC will boot from the optical drive - and reboot, away you go, install W7 |
