608376 2007-11-06 07:52:00 Billy T, I enjoy your Monday jokes, please keep it up - now and then I try to contribute one myself.
For Safari, for Gods sake get a life - if you don't like a belly laugh at a risqué joke or two you don't have to read them, and there is nothing objectionable in any of the jokes Billy T has posted.
You could always devote your life to something totally unrewarding by joining either the Helen Clark or Sue Bradford fan clubs.

Funny you should say that,Saf is the president of the Sue Bradford club and it would appear that he writes most of her proclamations.

BAKED STUFFED TURKEY

Here is a turkey recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a
stuffing -- imagine that. When I found this recipe, I thought it was
perfect for people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when
poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try.

8 - 15 lb. turkey
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is Good.)
1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHER'S LOW FAT) Salt/pepper to
taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter salt,
and pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan
with the neck end toward the back of the oven.

Listen for the popping sounds. When the turkey's butt blows the oven door
open and the bird flies across the room, it's done.

And, you thought I didn't cook

608379 2007-11-06 20:47:00 Whoops. Looks like I forgot to apologize in advance to all TV watchers too. Not having watched TV last night is not an excuse. Mercury (1316)
608380 2007-11-06 20:48:00 I have never cooked a turkey in my life anyway. And never will now. Perhaps I should thank you rather than forgive you. :D FoxyMX (5)
608381 2007-11-06 21:18:00 Two years ago, in winter, I was staying at my parent's place babysitting Dad whilst Mum was in hospital.

This was just prior to their move to a retirement village so, to entertain myself in the evening after Dad had gone to bed, I set to work on the kitchen cupboards. Some of the stuff in there was so last century it wasn't funny. And there was a lot of it.

Some (like exploding tin cans) went in the bin, other things I was burning in the fire.

It took me a couple of minutes to register that throwing a full bag of popcorn, even if old, on the fire wasn't one of my better ideas...
