| 774058 | 2009-05-16 04:47:00 | Did you export the address book for Outlook Express and then import into thunderbird? And just how do you do that? My address book is saved in a WAB file. No longer have OE on my computer. And windows live mail is just a way of pushing everyone into hot mail. |

Heres a picture (www.imagef1.net.nz) of Windows Live mail on W7 - Set up to Use my POP3 Account at Telstra - Didn't have to sign into windows Live ( could if I wanted to) , didn't have to have a Hotmail Account. Learn how to use the software before condoning it. Edited: If you click File/Import - guess what ?? you can import your messages all from OE. To import your .WAB - down the bottom left corner, click on Contacts / File Import your address Book Example (www.imagef1.net.nz) -- Isn't that hard. ;) |

It wont attach my signature to posts... 1. a utility, wabmail, can be used to convert your .wab file to a text file, which can then be exported as a .csv (comma separated values) file. That can be imported into Thunderbird. You have to sort out which columns you want, but it is not a big job to do that. 2. I think T'bird allows replies to be before or after the original. 3. Haven't investigated that one. Aren't signatures allowed? |
