| 607563 | 2007-11-03 09:14:00 | uTorrent is overrated, its seems to be the client of choice for those who try to fake their share ratios and thus its often blocked by many of the private trackers, or only allow the latest version until that become widespread enough that it gets banned too. At one stage it was getting updated every few days in attempts to get around the bans from private trackers. Actually, uTorrent is the strongest recommended client to use by many private trackers. A lot of them don't allow any version later than 1.6.1 either. |

Azureus crashed my router, BitComet was OK but then turned to crap (ads/slow) uTorrent is the only thing I'd use now |

| 607567 | 2007-11-04 20:37:00 | Good for Linux distros though (torrents); what most people don't remember is that someone pays for the bandwidth on the server end as well - and much of the time this is paid for with donations. Anything that helps to ease the load on the mirror servers is a good thing in my opinion. Limewire et al seem to be mostly just illegal stuff though - any sensible person using P2P for legal distribution would be using torrents, as the level of central control is much higher, and the file is guaranteed to be authentic. |
