With the last 5 inkjet printers I've bought that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, although it still seems to be a popular practice with laser printer toner. When I consider buying a printer, the cost of a replacement ink cartridge is more important than the price of the printer. Refilled cartridges suck, I've seen way to many problems with them - it ain't worth saving a dollar or two for all the hassles. |

It is cheaper to send your photos off to get printed than it is to print them yourself, and you don't get better quality printing them yourself either, so the only reason you would print photos yourself is convenience. | Greven (91) | ||

I have just bought 9 cartridges for my Epson for $45 the lot delivered, Last time I bought an Epson cartridge, it was about twice that price for just one. I have no idea what the price of Epson's cartridges has done in the up and down movements in the last few years, and am not really tempted to find out. (The silliest thing I ever did with printers was wait so long to get a Laser printer.) |

But well done, very interesting, will read it again in bed tonight. |
