608421 2007-11-05 04:41:00 High expectations? Of course, because that's what we were promised. But never got....:( I'll second that - if they cant deliver then why push it down our throats.

Oh right I forgot - no one listens to all the ads on TV any way :D

608422 2007-11-05 05:46:00 If they are so bad, why is half the country signed up with them?

Perhaps some people just like having something to grizzle about.

The majority are there by default, they have always been there and fear change.

608424 2007-11-05 06:09:00 Looks to me like they made the bottom of the list by disappointing even those customers with low expectations. Metla (12)
608425 2007-11-05 07:13:00 I had been with Xtra for Yonks, but yahoo killed it for me. Now with orcon. PJ Poppa John (284)
608426 2007-11-05 07:44:00 I suppose like other people I wont change xtra as my isp is because of my email addy. My .......@xtra.co.nz email address is me ,I am my email address it would be carnage to change it. How would people I met overseas and gave out my addy to ,contact me especially hot chicks I met. I even thought about tattoing it across my swede. Even drunk as skunk I can give out my addy even if I forget what day it is.
So thats the possible reason others wont change its not really a goer is it?

608427 2007-11-05 09:22:00 Not surprising at all, my broadband speed was horrible last month, the connection drops from 3mb/s to less than 1mb/s and my router disconnects like once every two minutes, making it impossible to enjoy online games. msnforum (11610)

608429 2007-11-05 10:34:00 I first got online aound 1995 ($2 per MB from memory...) and Xtra started shortly after I first hooked up. They started out very badly - with their customers' account passwords being linked to the username - and their PR with that debacle was appalling and totally out of step with the culture that had already developed on the internet.

Things have never really improved...

608430 2007-11-05 11:00:00 Been scrimping and saving and settling for less for years and years and now that we are in a thriving economy (ha ha) the movers and shakers still can't get out of old habits.

The Protestant/Puritan work ethic predominant for years now ingrained and residing in the national psyche will just not allow our leaders to let us enjoy our triumphant embrace of modern consumer economics benefits, at least not the ordinary people anyway.
