Some are not really suitable for a forum like this and I am surprised the mods allow some of them even though they are quite funny Not talking about the latest one but there have been a few others that were marginal and quite sexist when you consider it is not allowable to even post pictures of naked ladies in work places anymore and this could be considered a work place for many of both sexes. Thats a complete overreaction, and not true. I havn't read any of his jokes that I would consider to be to dirty/sexist for a normal 'famiy' forum. And wtf has pics of naked ladies got to do with sexually themed jokes? Billy's a legend. You get some of his jokes removed, where is it gonna stop? Please be sensible about these things, if you don't like it, don't read it!! :groan: |

I'm getting concerned about you too safari, you seem to be developing an unhealthy obsession with me . :D However, you make a fair comment . It is an unfortunate fact of life that the majority of jokes that make us laugh do tend to have forbidden flavours, not just sex, and funnily enough, most of my jokes are supplied to me by the most conservative and innately decent man I know . I edit and rewrite many to remove offensive language or themes, or simply to tone them down, and I do have a mix of types . I rely on the mods to let me know if I stretch the envelope and once or twice they have done, but surprisingly on themes that I thought were marginal but OK . I guess it becomes a bit more obvious when I have a clear-out of surplus stocks rather than just posting a single joke, but compared to what we are fed on prime time TV these days, and even in kids programs, I think that Monday Laughs is relatively tame in comparison and there are no littlies online to read them . I was thinking of running a survey to see if the Forum wanted ML to continue, and I may yet do that . I don't want to outstay my welcome, which was why I killed off WFTWE at number 200 . It seemed a good time to stop . Anyway, here's an alternative joke just for you: Two Arab terrorists are in a locker room taking a shower after their bomb making class in Melbourne, when one notices the other has a huge cork stuck in his arse . "If you do not mind me saying," stated the first Arab, "That cork looks very uncomfortable . Why don't you take it out?" I regret I cannot," lamented the second Arab . "It is permanently stuck in my arse . " "I do not understand," said the other . The second Arab Arab says, "I was walking along Russell Street and I tripped over an oil lamp . I like the jokes myself, I am just pointing out that they could be considered offensive to some people. Just try sending some through your office network and you could have a sexual harassment human rights issue on your hand. |

Nor have I found anything to be objectionable but on the other hand if a 7 yr old repeated one or two jokes to their parent they may find that a bit alarming having come from a family forum. Whether or not they were Billys or someone elses I can't remember. |
