608281 2007-11-05 06:38:00 Woohoo... who needs to smoke when you can get fat instead? Oh wait- I'm sure someone will say it's disgusting and they should be saved from themselves.

  up from me

I don't think it's disgusting.

I'd love one of those right now.

As I lost a lot of weight a while back (unplanned), I wouldn't mind replacing some.
And providing the meat isn't fatty rubbish, it seems like a cheaper carnivore's delight than our own current meat prices would provide.

The lettuce, tomatoes & onion are healthy.
The things to definitely go light on are the mayonnaise & ketchup.

Intrigued about the "12 slices of American cheese,"though.
What is that, Surfer Joe?
"Proper" cheese or processed cheese?
We have Chesdale here - perfect square slices processed with unknown soft stuff for sandwiches & burgers. It's cheese-flavoured & calorie-laden.

(Have to stop. No dinner yet & making myself feel much too hungry)

Think SJ will confirm that "American cheese" is definitely very processed - very much like our beloved Chesdale, only "American cheese" has more yellow colouring in it (to give it that "genuine" cheese look) - I believe it has a half-life measured in decades... :D

Oh yeah . . American cheese is processed . . . and I love it .

Not for the name (of course) but I like the texture and smoothness of it when you place it in two slices of bread with lots of margarine and fry the whole thing in a cast iron frying pan until it's toasted of both sides ( . goodyblog . com/playing_house/images/2007/04/11/179239296_225d87ab87_m . jpg" target="_blank">www . goodyblog . com) . . . the cheese dripping hot and gooey!

Think I'll make one now . . . . and drink it with a big tall glass of ice cold milk .

Lots of calcium there guys!

It goes bad if not kept refrigerated . . . not like some nuclear waste that lasts forever . . . . . Fav brands are of course . . . Kraft American Cheese Individuals ( . hahnathome . com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/kraft . jpg" target="_blank">www . hahnathome . com) .

We can also get it in long blocks that are solid . . sortta . . . and you slice the piece you want off it .

My cholesterol count is small . . . under 100 . . and my doc says that if I lived in Europe, they'd be medically treating me for that condition! My LDL and HDL are pretty close to perfect too . BP = 90/55, pulse = 60 . Very low . . . but healthy!
