607401 2007-11-01 20:22:00 How about a wasp stuck in my boot and stinging while I'm on a gravel road going downhill. Rather hard to stop in a hurry to remove it. user (1404)
607402 2007-11-02 02:23:00 It's a Yamaha . :dogeye:

Actually, on re-reading that part, the lady "Jacqqui" has done dirt biking as well as road biking .

I had a look and it's a Yamaha dirt bike, not a road bike like I thought . :)

It's interesting to note that the number of women attending the trail rides that I go on has increased quite a lot since I first started four years ago . Like me, they are taking advantage of the fact that there are a lot more bikes available now that are lighter and easier for us girls to handle, yet still have plenty of grunt when needed .

Ouch! :(

I have had bees and wasps fly into my face before now but haven't been stung. Yet.

607404 2007-11-02 02:48:00 Jim Callas...a high school riding buddy got a seagull stuck between his helmet and his face one day.

It was very messy. The seagull survived however.

607407 2007-11-02 05:29:00 Well the guy mowing his lawn stopped in astonishment when a motorcycle came to a rapid halt by his gate, the rider disembarked and started shedding clothes in all directions. Then peering down the inside of a tee shirt and shaking that too.

Fortunately it hadn't found the inside of my tee shirt - or that would have gone flying as well. And no, I didn't get stung.

It was a very hot day, far too hot for a motorcycle jacket so it was undone at the neck.
