If others do like the prolonged diatribe,do let us know.

So you read them word for word?

And you don't find them a bit elongated?

But Cicero why use bigs word when a diminutive word will suffice? :)

Anyhoo - I was a pack a day for about 15+ years. Gave up cold turkey about 7 years ago. The cravings are almost gone but not completely. Best thing about giving up is the clear head in the mornings and the food tastes better (you forget this as time goes by) plus when I started you get could get your smokes and gum for less than $2. I'm not going to criticise smokers because I was one and its a personal choice......

I worked at Rothmans in Napier on contract about 17 years ago - after smoking the ciggies that come straight off the production line it was hard smoking cigarettes bought from a shop. So often they are stale and the fresh ciggies gave a real head-rush. Try as hard as you like but you can't smoke a pack day of fresh ciggies - despite the fact they were free and all buildings and the entire site was a smoking zone. The non-smokers didn't stand a chance.

The funniest thing about working at Rothmans was getting on to the 'smoking committee' - we would sit around with coffee and cigarettes and compare the Fresh Rothmans ciggies (e.g. Dunhill) to the stale ones of the competition (e.g. Sportsman) - there was no comparison. I could go on about this for another 5000 words ........... but I won't. :D
