| 607376 | 2007-11-04 02:08:00 | My take on the situation is this: Nr 8 of the FORUM RULES reads, in part: 8) No commercial posting, spamming, or otherwise using the forum to promote products ....users who post purely to promote their business/website may find their threads deleted along with their user ID. Wmg thought he was clever, but his relentless promotion of Apple products, Macs in particular, was done in a manner beyond that of a regular PF member. While numerous members irritate each other at times, wmg irritated many of us all of the time. As I have stated before, wmg is imho, a 'plant', an Apple employee or otherwise associated with Apple. He could never put a link to an Apple website or shop because that would be a clear breach of Forum Rules. He once said his location was Auckland, but from another post of his last year someone located him in California; I would not be surprised if his IP address was traced showing this to be true. So my guess is that the mods had enough of him pushing the limits of Rule 8, warned him that unless he acted like a normal PF1 member, he would be banned. 'Normal'? :illogical Did I really say 'normal'?! :rolleyes: Yeah, OK, but you know what I mean. Thats my :2cents: worth. WMG: may he RIP. .. |
