| 774361 | 2009-05-16 05:55:00 | After scanning with Norton for virus, I now cannot access the internet. OS: Vista Home Basic I could ping my router without any problem. Tried with Firefox with same results How do I get back my Internet access other than reinstall? Have tried system restore to a few days back but produced no positive results. |

| 774367 | 2009-05-16 10:46:00 | 1.Uninstalled Norton - not successful. 2. Downloaded the uninstall program from Norton and successfully but still cannot access the Internet. 3. Performed 'System Restore' (to factory defaults) from the built-in utility - unfortunately, it halted halfway through.:groan: 4. Used another install DVD to reinstall Vista Home (using COA keys), went through smoothly and activated by phone - OK. 5. Downloaded the drivers from Sony but could not install the Wireless adaptor. Tried both the Intel Pro and Atheros drivers but all failed. It's a Sony VAIO notebook with this model No: VGN-CR25T/W sticker on the front just below the keyboard, BUT with this Model No: PCG-5J8P sticker on the back. I could notd find any PCG-5J8P drivers but managed to find VGN-CR25T (note that it's not VGN-CR25T/W as on the sticker) drivers. Suggestions, please. It's a note book my friend bought from Taiwan. Cheers |

| 774368 | 2009-05-16 11:05:00 | Updating: P/s: could only installed the chipset, graphic and modem drivers. wireless, camera drivers could not be installed. still downloading the Bluetooth driver - it's extremely slow. Probably it's the wrong model. But, where to find the correct model, there isn't any other sticker or label available. |
