| 774212 | 2009-05-15 10:44:00 | I need to get a good internal DVD Burner/CD Drive that can burn DVDs and CDs etc. Its been awhile since i got one so i m guessing IDE ones has been replaced entirely by SATA now. Any good ones out there. Dont mind spending more as long as its solid performer and good quality. Dont care abt aesthetics etc |

| 774213 | 2009-05-15 10:49:00 | Any Asus, Pioneer or Liteon will do. I think one of the samsung ones won the award for best performer or something, but doesn't matter really how about this? qmb.co.nz Blam |

| 774214 | 2009-05-15 10:50:00 | Most dvd burners can burn cds as well. IDE still exists. You can get IDE for about $60. SATA maybe about $10 more. I'm not too fussy what I get, just as long as it works It may also depend, if you want lightscribe, disksecure as well |

| 774218 | 2009-05-15 11:55:00 | SATA has no advantage over IDE. Easier to manage cables and no more configuring jumpers:p |
