2009-05-18 11:28:00 | I have Outlook 2007 installed, and Outlook Express 6 causes conflicts even though I have Outlook as the default e-mail program. Cheers | A Team (13613) | |
2009-05-18 11:30:00 | You cant its part of windows. The only way you'll remove it is if you use Nlite and remove it then reinstall. But that'll also affect IE and other programs / files. I had the same prob, I just made OE the default. | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |

2009-05-18 19:18:00 | Hi, Speedy. I don't seem to have a 'set programs and access and defaults' in CP (XP). | A Team (13613) | |
2009-05-18 20:56:00 | Its in add/remove programs | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2009-05-18 21:38:00 | You can. Add/Remove Programs - Windows Components. Untick it.

2009-05-18 22:05:00 | Add/Remove Programs - Windows Components. Untick it. Does that actually remove it, or just delete the shortcuts like when you remove IE using the same method? Most methods i've seen involve renaming folders, a bunch of registry keys & other generally messy stuff to really remove OE. That said, after i've set another program as default, I don't think OE has ever opened up.

2009-05-18 22:26:00 | Just the shortcuts. You can do the same with IE but iexplore.exe from run still opens it. Nlite is the way to go;)
