774820 2009-05-18 03:24:00 I get no color when I connect my tv to my laptop using svideo. I suspect the problem is the tv-out setting but I just can't find a way to change it. I'm on Vista. Any suggestions?

I had no problem with the svideo connection until today after a routine computer maintenance (defrag, registry etc.). Very weird.

774821 2009-05-18 03:46:00 You should have continued with your other post (pressf1.co.nz) Or it'll confuse people. Look in CCC's advanced settings somewhere then. You probably wont find the option anywhere else Speedy Gonzales (78)
774822 2009-05-18 03:55:00 I thought this was a rather different question. The problem is that the "advanced tab" in my CCC is missing. I searched on google and found that some people who runs Vista like I do have the same problem with CCC. sarahg (14919)
774823 2009-05-18 04:02:00 Looks like some ATI cards have or had a switch, to switch between NTSC ad PAL. Does yours? Speedy Gonzales (78)
774824 2009-05-18 04:07:00 If it is on the card itself, I couldn't have switched it to PAL accidentally since it's inside my laptop. sarahg (14919)
774825 2009-05-18 08:20:00 Are you using windows drivers or ATI, didnt you include the CCC software, check driver version and whether or not you have the ATI icon in the bottom right corner of your taskbar SolMiester (139)
774826 2009-05-18 17:01:00 Turns out I have to completely uninstall the ATI drivers and CCC preinstalled in my laptop and download and install a modded package. Then I get the advanced CCC options. That's because ATI does not support/update Mobility Radeon for laptops for some reason.

Even though I now get advanced options and changed the TV-out to NTSC, my problem is still not solved. I still get no color on the TV when it's connected via svideo to my laptop. It shouldn't be a hardware/connection problem since the Acer logo and it's color shows up fine until Vista starts. Very puzzling.
