Or use LFS if you can

Is this RW or R?

774599 2009-05-17 06:08:00 Thats how it should be-althought windows usually stuffs it up....

Just set syncback to back up to DVD and it'll do it for you

LFS=Live File System, allows you to copy/paste and delete stuff

Copying before formatting lifted my eyebrows almost to the back of my neck.

774603 2009-05-17 10:09:00 Your right I just read the help files, what a pain it says to remove other writing programs I would look for something else for doing DVD's. Maybe an imaging program such a macrium reflect or clonezilla or just do drag and drop would be a hell of a lot easier than formating optical discs gary67 (56)

Thanks for the other programs I will have a look at them. Cheers. Pato (2463)
774605 2009-05-17 23:47:00 With the likes of Nero, you can burn in the "UDF Format", but it doesnt pre-format the disc in that way.
If you're using said LFS, on a R/W disc, then yes it will pre-format it, however those types of burns are known for their unreliability. Again, you cannot actually pre-format a +/-R disc, only a RW.

The real reason you would use the UDF Format is due to a filesize being greater than 4GiB:
en.wikipedia.org entation.29_file_size_limit

Long story short:
Run your backups
Load up your favorite Burning application
Burn the Backups directory.

Hope this helps
