610198 2008-02-14 10:09:00 Why would anyone want to do that?

OK, I meant walk over one.

Every weekday to get to your classes.

610199 2008-02-14 17:44:00 I was an asthmatic before I started smoking, guess I did it coz it was 'in'
Even although smoking didn't do the asthma any favours, I kept smoking. Didn't really want to give up. Then after approx 8 years decided to try giving up. Did so eventually for 2 years, then started back. Noticed the asthma got slightly worse. Kept going for another 4 years, and then quit (have now passed the 3 year mark... 4 is later this year; sometime after May).
I found for the next year that I got sick a few more times.
After that period, my health improved markedly to the point where if I get sick, I no longer get the chest infections, and colds only last a short time

Still overweight, still not fit... but one thing at a time ;)

[edit] Incidentally, has anyone heard of the celebrity "Nosmo King"?

Yep. In fact I remember hearing him on the radio many years ago. It must have been in the later 1930s and early 1940s I think.
And yes I do know the story of how he got his name. Apparently he was walking down a corridor and at the end were two doors carrying the notice NO SMOKING.
Because of the way the sign was painted and the doors were swinging open he saw it as NO SMO KING.

610202 2008-02-15 00:19:00 I am currently going through 50 a day and have never had an illness that can be attributed to smoking.

What about your wife?
