609623 2007-11-10 19:40:00 One does hate it,when with all the resources in the world they can't get it right.

I might mention Met and I were not consulted.

Will we ever know whether "they" were?
Ah, just remembered Investigate magazine is out this week, no doubt that bastion of truth Ian Wishart will tell all.

609625 2007-11-11 10:06:00 A ploy by the police controllers to re-legitimize themselves after the sex/rape scandals and move the publics focus of attention elsewhere and mostly the deception has succeeded but they executed the diversion strategy poorly as you would expect given their past history and the caliber of the people in charge. zqwerty (97)

So you beleive that if 4 or 5 cops get caught doing something then all cops are bad?

Wow - there's quite leap from what zqwerty actually said - to your conclusion.

I've read and reread his post and I can see no basis for assuming that he thinks all cops are bad.

Whatever - public perception and opinion of Police in New Zealand is at an all time low.

How many more times are you going to post in this thead in an attempt to shove your opinions down out throats?

If you can't do it the first time - give up.

Frankly, I find you boring.

609629 2007-11-11 20:56:00 Maybe Im getting the wrong message, sounded like zqwerty wrote that police are trying to divert attention from one scandal to another.

The sex scandal crock was only a handful of people.

Either way this is not the issue. What were these people doing with their small arsenal? The arrested played the race card to divert attention from themselves and it worked.

609630 2007-11-12 00:35:00 The cops did not realize the depth of feeling and anger that would be stirred up in the Maori Community and elsewhere by the draconian measures taken against a few people who want to use their guns and blow up/burn a few things, as I did many times when I was young and foolish and bored out in the bush.

The government had to back pedal furiously when they realized that the police had stuttered out yet another faux pas and set race relations in this country back 100 years.

What a bunch of morons. Taking shrub's (GW Bush) fascist anti-terrorism dictates which are a form of terrorism in their own right and trying to re-apply them in New Zealand. Go to the bottom of the class for being stupid dunces.
