610624 2007-11-12 00:43:00 so are you suggesting premier elements or imovie?

In your case Premier Elements since it is cheaper and runs on PC.

For argument's sake if you want the better one, that would be iMovie. - it's easier to use, has all the transitions, editing features, sound recording/removal/import etc and exports the finished product to mpg, DVD or web very easily. Bottom line is, you want to be creative and not have to fight with the application to make your video.

610625 2007-11-12 00:45:00 You were asking for advice on good video editing software, so I suggested Premier. If you had asked for cheaper beginner stuff I would have suggested Premier Elements.

Just proves you have no idea what your talking about, Premiere Elements is good, Better then good, Excellent, and due to its capabilities and price is a stong contender for a recomendation.

None and none planned. Premier Elements would be your best choice for PC.

610630 2007-11-12 01:50:00 I find it amusing that within groups that do video editing iMovie is considered pretty good and comparable with other entry level/home user video applications, But within Mac circles its considered the second coming of Christ, The Holy Grail of Video editing, and it the promotional piece pretending to be a review I just read its impressively beautiful.... Metla (12)

It is how Apple made it easier that made it better.

There is quite a big step up from iMovie to Final Cut though.

Glad you're impressed metla:rolleyes: :p

610632 2007-11-12 02:33:00 Muffed it, Meant to say,

And according to the promotional piece pretending to be a review I just read its impressively beautiful.

In my personal view, after watching someone else use to to throw together a quick project I didn't bother to have a go, Nothing special, Just another video app.

Can I ask what Video app's you have used WMG?, We already know you haven't used the Adobe products (even though you would recommend them:illogical), and WMM isn't good enough to be called a comparable product.

610633 2007-11-12 02:42:00 iMovie06 mostly since that is what I currently have. Never got a chance to properly use Adobe Premier Elements while I had it due to lack of Firewire and hard drive space. I had a look around it.
What can you tell us about your extensive video editing app experience metla?
