609665 2007-11-10 09:06:00 The point is that you shouldn't have to do squat but drag and drop your files to an mp3 player, Not install an app that runs all the time, adds itself as a background service Inserts itself as an additional layer of software between the user and their files, and helps itself to any configuration it feels like, and well change them to suit itself even after you change them back.

Now, I fully realise you won't comphend why anyone wouldn't want any of that purely becaus of your simplistic Apple love, But try not to post back with sales figures.....

Not everyone agrees with your opinion Metla as you can see from Paul Thurrott's comments. I take it your know who he is.

That all said, as deals with the devil go, iTunes offers some appetizing fruit. Performance issues notwithstanding, I still find it to be the nicest jukebox out there for organizing my music collection, and I've never seen anything like it for podcasts. (Microsoft? Anyone out there?) And of course, I'm firmly in the iPod camp for good reason: Apple's devices are simply the best there is, and if using iTunes is the price one has to pay, then that's hardly a punishment. I use iTunes because I want to. My issue with it is that so many people use it because they have to.

609666 2007-11-10 09:13:00 Can the Mactwits go back to my earlier comment, Here, I'll repeat it, Your filters must have blocked it in order to promote some virtues.

If you like it then there is nothing wrong with it.

See that?

Ok, Then I went on to explain to Billy why I would consider iTunes to be the single biggest negative aspect of the iPod.

Understand?

All of which makes your comments directed at me utterly worthless, and predictable.

Yes, You stress its my opinion, No one claimed otherwise, Yet you seem driven to counter any negative opinion or experience of Apple products with positive fluff like it some how matters to you personally.

Weird. Real weird.

And Paul Thurrott?, If I have ever heard of him then whatever he said wasn't worth me remembering him, I couldn't give a rats arse what he thinks of anything. I don't look to other people to do my thinking for me.
