2007-11-05 20:46:00 | I find Telecoms coverage so poor that between Wanganui and Hamiltion the phone is communicating with a repeater/tower for all of 20 minutes during the entire drive, the rest of the time there is no coverage. Vodaphone are equally crap. I can drive 5 minutes out of town and coverage is dead. At the same time of course nobody wants the repeater stations, always tricky having it both ways!.

2007-11-05 23:03:00 | Personally I find communications on Telecom's network superior to Vodafone. All calls are crystal clear, but when calling Vodafone mobiles I frequently get echoes, broken audio and connection drop out. Never happens on the Telecom network. Your mileage may vary. Cheers Billy 8-{) I think telecoms network is superior in terms of call quality and more coverage, but their selection of phones and that they ae CDMA is a disadvantage if travelling to europe. I have a vodafone and I am often cut off during the call, and their is often a delay and echoing. It doesn't make any difference changing phone.

2007-11-07 06:07:00 | I find even if I ring from a Telecom mobile there is a lot of silence (no ringing tone even) when ringing telcom mobiles. Sometimes I just have to hang up and redial! | JaceKiwi (2561) | |
2007-11-07 06:08:00 | So - you're saying that Nokia puts good batteries in their 021 phones and crook batteries in their 027 ones ? No they are exactly the same battery (I kept the battery and used it in the new phone!)

Forgot to mention I had a Kyocera that worked fine and a 5120/5110 - both worked reasonably well - the 5120 battery still didn't last as long as the 5110 though but nowhere near the 2 days of the one I had about 3 years ago. |
