| 610327 | 2007-11-10 22:19:00 | Why is it that lawnmower catchers do not complete their job? Busy mowing the lawns and it manages to leave a huge row of cut grass behind out the side of the mower body. Also why is it that mowers are so difficult to get up stairs? lol must be the day to do jobs round here. beetle |

The correct way to mow is right to left (if the grass trail is on the left side) and mow over it each time as you work your way left (This entails mowing backwards when you get to the end of the 'row' of course) Lawnmowers aren't made to go up stairs . . . you shouldn't be mowing the stairs anyway  |

Usually thats why it will sometimes clump and not go into the catcher properly As for the steps, lawnmowers have wheels and not legs . Legs are for getting up and down steps, wheels are for moving along the ground . If one so insisted, one could see Metla and see if he will install tracks onto your lawnmower, that way it will move along the ground, AND go up and down steps :D |

Fer crying out loud . . . you go in a pattern that starts at magnetic North, circumferentially in a square-ish pattern, counterclockwise unless you are below the Equator, then all bets are off . |
