775577 2009-05-21 04:51:00 HI there, i have a laptop which the kids use and the usb ports have got slack over time from unplugging the mouse and key board regularly
Is there a way to firm them up a little using someting like a small screwdriver or whatever? has any one done this?

They look difficult to adjust the (what do you call them?i may have to make up a new word) clips that stop the cable from falling out without pullling the laptop apart.

Or should i just splash our for a blue tooth set (which will probably get water spilled on them)

775578 2009-05-21 05:13:00 Is there one good port left? If so, i'd recommend getting a 4 port USB hub....only $30 or $40 if that gets broken, no big drama. wratterus (105)
775579 2009-05-21 07:33:00 Yep, +1 with wrat's suggestion, just buy a cheap USB hub.

They range from $10-$50 depending on number of ports and brands.

Just be careful, as unless you get an AC powered USB hub, it won't be able to power devices such as External HDs via on USB port.
