775112 2009-05-19 05:43:00 I am running Windows XP Home Edition.
I have a headset with Microphone attached. I can receive from the headphones, but I cannot seem to audio with the Microphone, it has been working up until 2 days ago.
Is there any way that I can check that the Mike is faulty. I have been transmitting with it for a number of years now.
Your help would be appreciated
Thanks

775113 2009-05-19 05:47:00 The only way really to test if it's the mic is to plug the mic into another PC with a known, working, mic in. You can also try plugging a different mic into your PC to see if that works. inphinity (7274)
775114 2009-05-19 05:55:00 Under All programs> accessories> entertainment> sounder recorder.. use it to record while you speak and see what happens when you play it back. also make sure your mic hasnt been muted by mistake. ronyville (10611)
