| 775021 | 2009-05-18 22:04:00 | Last night at 11.50pm my installation of Windows XP decided to playup. I restarted the PC and got an error saying that the kernal (C:windows/System/Config )file had been corrupted and needed to be covered. I tried to sort out the recovery to no avail and ended up reinstalling XP last night. | convair (13650) | ||

| 775024 | 2009-05-19 03:25:00 | So the solution is as Blam6 says. Make a batch file as described and put it on bootable media for next time you need it. Will save you time if it happens again. |

| 775025 | 2009-05-19 04:29:00 | Or you could have just done a Repair Install - that way it wouldn't have touched your personal stuff. | pctek (84) | ||
