611764 2007-11-15 06:21:00 We have had our "tiled roof" replaced with "long run iron", looks great, but 1 problem.

We have 3 tv sets and 3 video recorders, the main set is in the lounge with the outside ariel attached, the other 2 are in other rooms and the rabbit ears are not giving a good reception, waves are no doubt bouncing off the iron.

Would the GigaAir attached to the outside ariel point braodcast the signal to the other 2 sets?.

Thanks for any advice.

Ps. Not me, but the wife tapes everything going, soaps that is.

611765 2007-11-15 06:42:00 huh?

What you need is the Antenna on your roof distributed to the other 2 rooms in the house. A device like the Gigaair is of no use. They only rebroadcast a single channel.

Any decent installer would be able to fix your problem in 2 or 3 hours. It just needs a distribution amp and coax run into each of the rooms.

611766 2007-11-15 07:32:00 apsattv, thanks for that. Our son is a qualified electrician with the Air Force in Ohakea.

He did say coax way back, but I thought I had read somewhere that there was a repeater box that sent the signals from a prime location of all frequencies, but I must have been dreaming.

Inovation magazine seems to ring a bell.

Will have to make use of the son's ability to get up into the roof area eh!.
