611717 2007-11-15 02:39:00 Is anyone planning on watching 'Californication' this evening? Based on last weeks show this isn't one for the kiddies to watch....and it seems to have stirred up quite a bit of controversy.

Personally I thought last weeks show was really funny and Duchovny is pretty convincing in his character. Did anyone else see it? If so, what were your thoughts?

611719 2007-11-15 04:14:00 Haven't seen it yet, but since Duchovny has a history of grubby stuff ("Pink? Slippers", from memory), might be worth a watch if you're into that sort of thing. johcar (6283)
611720 2007-11-15 04:28:00 Watched a bit of it, The character is a moron, needs the bash. His escapades are less interesting then roadkill, and the nun scene wasn't even the slightest bit erotic, just crap.

I'm hoping he gets killed in episode 2 but I doubt that will happen. Perhaps he could have a car crash in the opening scene, Then they could cut to a half hour clip of Asian school girls kissing.

611722 2007-11-15 05:14:00 Ramsey is a tosser, anyone with a backbone would put him on his arse for the crap way he talks to them, Its no wonder he can't motivate people to do a good job.

Man with tiny pee-pee syndrome.

Man with tiny pee-pee syndrome.Sad perspective. He's got the most (equal) number of Michelin stars in history for restaurant excellence.

I'm thinking you never worked in a kitchen - it's one of the toughest work environments, mentally, to survive, and if you do well then you become a king. Which he is in his proffession. A lot of his staff have moved forward to become international successes in their own rights, but as a result of his training.

I think his 150 million NZ$'s worth tells us that he's a success.

The only problem I have with him is his scorn of other celeb chefs, eg Jamie Oliver and Antony Warrall who're both brilliant cooks.

611724 2007-11-15 07:24:00 I couldn't care less then if Jesus himself came back from the dead and thanked him for lunch, He's a knob end on TV, and no doubt his valued staff would tell him to suck on it if he acted like that to them, after all, at that level getting a job wouldn't be hard.

No matter how much money some spanker has, If you destroy the morale of the workers then the standard goes to crap, and people leave.

I wouldn't eat in one of his resturants if the food was free, Less then impressed.

Nor do I think the job is one of the toughest work environments, mentally, to survive, If it were, No one could act like that. In real world environments that are "tough to survive" That sort of carry of gets people killed.

Perhaps he could try some mountain rescue and get some real world feedback about his prima donna wobbly crap in a tough situation.

He should change his name to Elton and put on a dress.
