611308 2007-11-23 00:04:00 Leopard all day at work and Vista Ultimate on my notebook. Very happy with both. Also boot up WinXP via VM now and then for various reasons, mostly as a sandbox.

Are you happy with the Dock in Leopard? I see a lot of people wanting to change it to make it look like 10.4

611309 2007-11-25 03:56:00 Linux - Mepis 7 - now Debian Etch base.

Gaming either native Linux apps or via Wine.

WinXP (good that it was) disappeared from my machine almost 6 months ago .... I haven't missed it

Yep, the Leopard Dock is an improvement for me, especially with Stacks (www.imagef1.net.nz), but I do know that a lot of people find the Dock an unnecessary piece of eye candy. Sure its got a lot of functionality but it doesn't provide this exclusively (I'm a bit of a keyboard shortcuts fan).

Also, if there was a standard way of apps actioning a focus request (e.g. when you Cmd+Tab to an app) then I could probably live without a dock, but as far as Mac desktops go, the Dock kind of completes the look I suppose.

And since I haven't touted it here yet, QuickLook is just awesome, especially when your working with tons of files during the day.

611311 2007-11-27 01:58:00 Leopard most of the time, and XP Pro via Boot Camp for watching HD DVDs.

<rant>Can SOMEONE please make a Mac HD DVD player?!</rant>

I'm guessing that will be in the pipeline when the Blu Ray/HD DVD war sorts itself out.

:D

And they all work too.

My personal fav is Windows 1.01. Garish bright primary colours for the interface and all capital filenames - even earned itself a place in the 10 ugliest products of all time! Click Here (pcworld.co.nz)

Can post screenshots of my virtual PCs if u want ;)

I'm sure glad I haven't got a physical PC for each virtual one I have - would run out of space in the garage... :)

Also have an old Compaq laptop (www.kolumbus.fi) - circa 1994 - still fuly functional. 75MHz 486 proc, 12MB RAM, 170MB HD, 12" screen etc etc. Runs Windows 95 (just!). No CD drive, this machine is FAR too old for that only a floppy drive
