I was wondering.

I read many tech websites & this & that, but haven't found many vista fanboys. People will get all het up about how rubbish macs are and how crap some version of linux is, and the reverse is also true.

But I haven't seen many vista fanatics. The hardcore loons who will fight to the death about the superiority of their OS.

In some ways I think this is a good thing; but maybe it's just fueling the opponants

611299 2007-11-17 09:26:00 You'll find a lot of people spouting about how crap Vista is, but not so many praising it, because there's really nothing to be impressed by...

I may never ever run Vista :D

I haven't used Windows at all since I installed Ubuntu 7.10 three weeks ago, so I might even just delete the whole Windows partition and free up some space.

611300 2007-11-17 10:14:00 I have in fact met Vista fanboys. They sound like all the other fanboys.

Anyways, I run FreeBSD and NetBSD. Slackware somewhere here but hasn't been booted to life for ages. Ditto with OpenSolaris.

611302 2007-11-17 17:06:00 I am trying to use Linux..but somehow I think it is using me.

XP works..but then again so did 2000 and 98SE...but I really really really want to use PCLinuxOS or Ubuntu or Mepis or ......

BTW: I still have Mepis running as my server for my vids and MP3s..but don't ask me how!?!?!?!?!?!

What I want to do is finally perfect a dual-boot system! <yeah..fat chance!>

It's just a partitioning thing I think.

611305 2007-11-22 16:26:00 I agree with you there, would be cool if the just rereleased it with all the updates/patches at once. rob_on_guitar (4196)
611306 2007-11-22 19:59:00 I'm trying some linux distro's on VM Server!...... SolMiester (139)
611307 2007-11-22 23:49:00 Leopard all day at work and Vista Ultimate on my notebook. Very happy with both. Also boot up WinXP via VM now and then for various reasons, mostly as a sandbox. sal (67)
