610995 2007-11-13 08:13:00 Does that mean nobody in the IT department ever reads PressF1?
Of course not! They're too busy ignoring (important) things! :D

610996 2007-11-13 08:22:00 Jen.....the font used in your image.

Much easier to read than what I've got.

What's it called, and where in Opera do I change it????

Cheers :DIt appears to be called Nimbus Roman No9. Not sure if it came with the Linux version of Opera or Opera uses that by default on Linux systems. I don't actually use Opera, I just opened it up because I couldn't be bothered logging out of Firefox to take my screenshot. :p

And what is with the "You have performed a mouse gesture for the first time", "Would you like to continue using mouse gestures?". What the heck?! I was just opening up the font box to see what it uses!. Has MS Clippy been included with Opera now?

I was just opening up the font box to see what it uses!. Has MS Clippy been included with Opera now? :eek:It means you held down the right mouse button while dragging the pointer around the page. Mouse gestures are a seriously fast way of performing most navigation tasks without needing to move the pointer up to the toolbar/menus. It takes a while to get used to, but once you get going you'll never look back.

Opera has them built-in, or if you prefer Firefox there are numerous plugins to add this functionality.

610999 2007-11-13 18:40:00 Why is it important to have the right time on the Forum - it never ever bothers me? Who cares whether it says you posted xx:zz pm?

611000 2007-11-13 19:06:00 Who cares whether it says you posted xx:zz pm?I do, and so do many others here. If you don't find it a problem, then good for you - however there are a fair number of us who do. Erayd (23)

I'm surprised you haven't written some sort of fancy browser plug-in which corrects PF1 timestamps before displaying it on screen.

611002 2007-11-13 19:17:00 Believe me I've thought about it... However if I create a workaround with a bit of Javascript, then there will be less incentive for the powers-that-be to actually fix the damn thing.

[Edit: I did however write some lines into the PF1 tidy-up CSS to completely remove all times from the page...]

The font in Linux is different to Windows, right throughout the system. Linux is not permitted to have a lot of the Windows fonts upon installation but you are able to download them and install them yourself.

If you like Jen's font, do a search for it on the internet, download and install it then change Opera's font preferences in Options to your choice. Take note of Opera's current fonts for each option before you start fiddling though, in case you don't like the result and wish to return it to how it was.

But as much as I like it, it's not enough to pay for.

Couldn't find a free jobby....:stare:
