" I don't think NZ Immigration have a BMI limit of 25. 25 is the "limit" set by doctors as to what's normal. en.wikipedia.org says "a BMI of 18.5 to 25 may indicate optimal weight". They probably have a limit but closer to the 42 mentioned, as losing a few inches wouldn't put him at 25 by a long shot. Let's see, say he's 5' 11'', 1.8m. To have a BMI of 42, you need to weigh 136 kg. Hate to see him in a wetsuit! |
